Composition Labs Website Privacy Notice

Effective date: September 8, 2026

Composition Labs, LLC operates compositionlabs.org. This notice explains how we handle information collected through this company website and its contact form. The separate Whisper Maps website and tour service have their own privacy disclosures.

Information we collect

When you use our contact form, we receive your email address, your message, and your name if you choose to provide it. We also receive information you include in subsequent correspondence. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, or sensitive personal information through the form.

Our hosting and form-service providers may collect technical information such as IP address, browser information, requested pages, referring website, and request time to deliver their services, maintain reliability, and help prevent spam or abuse.

How we use information

We use your contact information to answer your inquiry, communicate with you about it, and manage any resulting business relationship. We may also use relevant records to protect our services, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your contact information, use it to create advertising audiences, or automatically add you to a marketing mailing list. Sending us a message does not subscribe you to a newsletter.

Service providers and disclosures

We use Formspree to process contact-form submissions and Microsoft 365 to receive, store, and respond to correspondence. Our website is hosted by Vercel. These providers receive information relevant to the services they perform; this does not mean every provider receives the contents of your messages.

Formspree may store submissions and present a spam-verification step after you submit the form. Its handling of information is described in its privacy policy, linked beside our contact form. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate.

We may disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims.

Cookies and tracking

Our company page does not include advertising pixels or third-party visitor-analytics scripts. We do not track your browsing across other websites for advertising, and this page does not change its behavior in response to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

Submitting the contact form may take you to Formspree-hosted pages. Those pages and their third-party tools may use cookies or similar technologies. Formspree's privacy policy describes its collection and combination of technical information, including across devices, and the practices of third-party technologies on its services.

How long we keep information

We review contact records quarterly. At each review, we delete ordinary, closed inquiries when more than 12 months have passed since the last substantive correspondence, unless we reasonably need to retain them for an ongoing business relationship, a dispute, or applicable legal or recordkeeping obligations.

Technical logs and backup copies may follow different retention periods under our service providers' processes. Deleting an active record does not necessarily remove it immediately from every backup.

Questions and requests

Use the Contact form on our homepage to ask a privacy question or request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you have provided. Include enough information for us to identify the relevant correspondence, but do not send identity documents unless we specifically request them.

We may need to verify your request. We will handle requests in accordance with applicable law and explain any information we need to retain.

Changes to this notice

We will post updates here and revise the effective date. For material changes, we will also display a notice on this website and provide any additional notification required by applicable law.
